Not sure why this feels important
i've heard more than one person relay a story about feeling intimidated by people, sometimes with guns, using the expression, "I was almost killed." Does that make sense?
If you were shot at and didn't die, it makes sense. Otherwise, how do you know the gun was even loaded? "I might have been killed" would be more accurate.
