feel the rain on your skin
hehe, i just surprised cecil by yanking the covers back over the bed and finding her curled up on the corner...awww, sweet little touch-phobic kitteh.
spent awsum weekend in sc, watching a disheartening portrayal of derby's founding mothers and chilling with pippi and her friend aaron. i slept over at her place and had fits of coma-like slumber in between many restless minutes rolling "over and ow-owverer." we get along like gangbusters, incredibly, really! it's pretty cool. she is going to skateboard with me and aaron will teach me to surf!
i am in awe of pippi's apartment...filled with thoughtful details and cool stuff i would like to have. minimalist crafty done right...i am taking mental notes. chilled a bit with her neighbors, a young couple seemingly obsessed with marilyn monroe...boy of which was sporting a hilariously greasy pompadour. they have a wee chihuahua named norma jeane who took to me immediately, despite their utter surprise and played fetch with a tennis ball twice as big as her head. she had chewed off a piece of the fabric and was dragging it around by that little dangle. this was, of course, after many rejected attempts to play fetch with a bunch of tiny bite-sized rocks. the darndest, cutest little retrieving little dog i've ever laid eyes on!
aaron is my first sc crushlet, of which i hope to cultivate many! he is a very adorable, chubby so-cal boy with nerdy glasses, a 16 year old pet boa (who he feeds live rats after clubbing them over the head in his bathtub) and an adorably neat apartment. he put on steady diet of nothing, then 13 songs, which endeared him to me immediately :) the three of us did some bong hits and rode our bikes along the shore, checking out the surfers and feeling the spray in our hair.
i had a flash (shortly after being offered a bunch of frozen candy bars from his freezer and noticing his studded belt and neatly washed sweater) of being naked with him, which is a distinct possibility. he and pippi both lamented the seemingly non-existent dating pool and although he has been married and divorced, he has that really hot distant/shy boy nerdiness that i find so irresistible.
we will see. wheeeee!
