off the pig
san francisco to toronto in five an a half hours, emerging ripe and rumpled, my bags bound with packing tape. feels amazing(ly familiar) to be home...early summer with hard green mulberries shrouded in waxy leaves and stick straight allium pedestals displaying violet explosions of perfect circles.
walked from woodbine and queen to alexis with my kicky new summer do (YOU know who you look like now...who? drew barrymore!) to a disappointingly barren ben & jerrys. spent some loot in my "high school mall" including a giant stud metal belt that reminds me of mario brothers 3 level 4 and a stolen pair of photo print hawaiian scene bikini bottoms. bike/walked to victory in the torrential downpour, damply discovered our dreams of grilled cheeses with sides of macaroni and cheese were not possible due to the victory RUNNING OUT OF CHEESE!?!
so drowned our sorrows in pizzafries and discussed our plans of half sleeves covered in tiny burgers, tacos, muffins, ice cream cones, donuts, etc. amazing.
