i tried, i really really tried to buy books from an independent bookstore! i went to bookshop santa cruz to no avail, searched laboriously online for an alternative to amazon and finally, sadly buckled. my purchases last night:

* The Audacity of Hope by Barack Hussein
Obama
* The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook
Whoever pulled those off the shelf must have had themselves a chuckle.
