Buuuuuurn FIIIIYAAAAAA
i suppose i have the internet to thank again for reuniting me and david. out of the relative blue a couple of weeks ago he mentioned that he was coming to palo alto for the weekend and reserved all day friday to hang out with me! we met at namor's house and lay on the trampoline talking for hours before biking down to stanford and partaking in good collegiate fun. this included lunch at the hospital cafeteria and the first jello i've had since i was a pre-teen!, handball tennis, grass lying and serious talking, whipping a warm root beer at the buxom she-sphinx on the stanford mausoleum and running through the recycled toilet water field sprinklers in the searing heat on a dare. we had a beautiful dinner with his bro and his gf and i bought a shit ton of cheap vhs tapes and the michelle tea book i've been hunting for years at a rad store in mountain view.
it was nice having dinner with paul, especially as it far surpassed the last meal we shared over sushi in boston years ago when i was in a terrible mood...much much nicer :)
it is also such a treat to spend time with david. we picked up just where we left off except with a few years more experience and wisdom to share. we talked about much more serious things than ever before and turn out to be kindred after all. we talked about sex for a long time! that was a pretty cool afternoon chat, and a unique opportunity for honesty and smiles.
i'm not sure where i want this to head. i am absolutely going to keep him in my life as a more permanent fixture and will definitely take him up on his many invitations to visit. i can't stop thinking about him, obviously, but didn't feel the same sparks as before. granted we were both probably shy and nervous and completely unsure of what if any boundary exists between appropriate and desire :) can't wait to see him again <3
