finally a gorgeous day. i am beachbound but have been wanting to write in this more often and find myself transfixed by epic sax guy, thus needing to justify time spent not on the beach by doing something 'productive.' short but sweet
i am reading through the julie/julia project at work and it is definitely entertaining. i have never considered cooking my way through an entire cookbook before and think i might like to give it a go. my only decision now is which to choose and, though i would love to find a satisfying vegetarian "how to cook" type book, i think i will go with moosewood. i do have deborah madison, but hers is fing enormous and really not so feasible. moosewood has a few i would rather not try, such as the asian recipes (what is my aversion to asian cooking?), but it is the famous vegetarian standard and i have cooked with it for years and always wondered about things like rarebit and waldorf 4 ways.
we will see! tonight i'm going to meet micah's family at a natural bridges bbbq. sweet.
i was thinking of calling simon for some weed/booty, but now that this has come up it will depend on how much time i have when i come back from the beach. and THAT will depend on how much beer i consume/yes i listen to/witches of worm i read/sun i absorb. an experiment i cannot wait to embark upon
